Step-1: Unpack the printer

  1. Unbox the printer and place it on a stable surface.
  2. In the box, check for the printer accessories such as the power cord, user manual, toner cartridge, and installation CD and keep them safe.
  3. Remove all the packaging tapes and protective covers from the printer.
  4. Now, press the release tab on the left side and lower the multipurpose feeder door.
  5. Again, press the release tab and lift the front door.
  6. Remove all the protective materials from the inside of the printer.
  7. Take out the print cartridge, separate the protective covers, and gently shake it.
  8. Now, reinstall the cartridge inside the printer carefully.
  9. Close the front panel and then the multipurpose feeder door.

Step-2: Load paper in the standard tray

  1. Draw out the tray from the printer and move the green paper guides to the edges of the tray.
  2. Neatly arrange the paper stack such that the print face is down for single-sided printing and up for double-sided printing.
  3. Place the paper in the tray, shift the paper guides to the edges of the paper stack, and make sure it is not so tight.
  4. Now, slowly insert the tray back into the printer.
  5. Turn on the printer and set the paper settings using the printer’s control panel.
  6. Take the paper support wire and attach it above the stand exit bin to hold the output paper.

Step-3: Power connection

  1. Use the power cord provided with the printer to connect it to the printer's supply port.
  2. Plug the other end to an electrical wall outlet and press the power button on the control panel.
  3. When the printer’s display panel turns on, configure the basic settings, and save it.

Step-4: Software installation

  1. After completing the printer hardware setup, go on to install the printer software on the computer.
  2. The software helps to manage and control printer operations from the computer.

  1. Connect your computer to the internet and open a web browser.
  2. Go to the official Lexmark website, search for your printer model, and select it.
  3. When the printer’s support page shows up, click Go to drivers and downloads below Features, at the right end.
  4. On the next page, click the Downloads tab and then choose the Operating System from the drop-down menu.
  5. From the list of drivers, click the driver link you have to download and save it on your computer.

Lexmark T650n Offline

If the Lexmark printer goes offline even after turning on, check if the ports are online. Use the below steps on your Windows computer to solve the issue.

  1. Make sure the computer and the printer are on the same network.
  2. Open the Devices and Printers window on the desktop using the search box.
  3. Under network printers, find your printer’s name, right-click it, and select Properties.
  4. Go to the Ports panel, click Configure Port, and then untick the checkbox of SNMP Status Enable.
  5. Save the settings and close the window.
  6. After that, restart the computer and verify if the printer is online.

Lexmark T650n Paper Jam 241.10

The printer error codes from 241 to 245 indicate that there is a paper jam in the printer. Read the following steps to clear the paper jam.

  1. Draw the paper tray out of the printer and see if any paper is damaged or crippled. If found, then remove the paper.
  2. Check the inside of the printer and remove the jammed paper.
  3. Now, insert the tray into the printer and press the 'Tick' icon on the display panel.

The Printhead has a mirror motor and an exhaust fan. If the motor couldn’t reach the operating speed or the exhaust cannot run, or if it is stuck, the printhead error 935.24 is displayed on the printer. Fix the problem using the below steps.

  1. Turn off the printer and open the top cover.
  2. Look inside the printer along the left side and you can find a wheel-like metal structure.
  3. If the fan is stuck, spin it a few times using a long scale or pen.
  4. If the wheel spins freely, then it is fine. If not, then contact the service team to check service your printer hardware.

Lexmark T650n 931.01 Service Printhead Error

If the Printhead does not receive the proper laser Hsync signal, then the printhead error 931.01 occurs on the printer.

  1. Sometimes, the Hsync signal misses hitting the Printhead, which could be due to incorrect voltage of the power supply.
  2. Check if the power cable is connected properly to the electrical socket.
  3. Verify if the power supply is stable.
  4. Replace the damaged or tampered power cord with a new one.
