HP Envy 5660 Printing Issues

HP ENVY 5660 is an All-in-One printer. Itcan perform all of the basic functions like printing, scanning, and copying. In addition to these, the printer can also perform faxing. You can connect through USB or Wi-Fi Direct to print from iOS, Android, Windows, Mac devices and also from your smartphones and tablets. Sometimes, you may face a printing issue, which could irritate or restrict you from performing any task. There are some troubleshooting methods to fix this problem.

Some of the Steps to Fix the HP Envy 5660 Printing Issues

Check Your Power Connection and Reset the Printer:

  1. Check whether the power cord is perfectly connected to the printer and the electrical outlet.
  2. Check for the green light. It indicates that the printer is receiving power.
  3. If you cannot see the green light, turn off the Power button.
  4. Now, unplug the power cord from your wall outlet.
  5. Wait for 15 minutes and plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  6. Turn on the Power button.
  7. Check for any error message on the printer display.

Set as Default Printer:

  1. First, go to the Windows Start menu.
  2. Next, type Control Panel in the Search bar and click on it.
  3. Click Hardware and Sound > Device and Printers.
  4. Locate your HP ENVY 5660 printer and right-click on it.
  5. Select Set as default printer.

Changing the Printer Properties:

  1. First, navigate tothe Start menu on your Windows computer.
  2. Type Control Panel in the Search bar and click on it.
  3. Click Devices and Printers and right-click on the HP ENVY 5660 printer.
  4. Select See what’s printing and choose Printer Properties from the list.
  5. Go to Port and select IP Address from the list.
  6. Change the SNMP status and click OK.

Install the New Update:

  1. Click the Windows + Ikeys.
  2. In the Settings window, locate the Update and Security section.
  3. Click on Check for updates.
  4. In case any update is available, make sure that your Windows OS gets that latest update.

Restarting the Print Spooler Service:

  1. Press Windows key + R.
  2. Type services.msc and click OK.
  3. Locate the Print Spoolerservice and restart it.

Disable the Use Printer Offline Option:

  1. On your PC, go to the Start menu.
  2. Now, type Control Panel in the Search bar and click on it.
  3. Click Devices and Printers and right-click on the HP ENVY 5660 printer.
  4. Select See what’s printing and check if the Use Printer Offlineoption is enabled.
  5. Click on the option to disable it, if it is enabled.

Cancel all Documents:

  1. Go to Windows Start > Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  2. Right-click on the HP ENVY 5660 printer icon and select See what’s printing.
  3. Choose theCancel All Documents option.
