Steps For Epson WF 7620 Setup

Setting up the Epson WF-7620 printer for the first time:

  1. Clear the packing tapes present inside and outside of your printer follow the steps to do the Epson WF 7620 setup.

  1. Open the printer driver file on your computer.

Setting up your Epson WF-7620 printer over a wireless network

  1. First of all, connect your computer to the wireless network that the printer is to be connected.
  2. Now, open the Epson WF-7620 printer driver on your computer.
  3. When prompted, click the  Install button.
  4. Once the basic driver files have been selected, the  Select Your Connection window will appear on your computer screen.
  5. Click the  Radio button beside the  Wireless Connection option. 
  6. When prompted, select the  Setup option and the  Wireless Network Setup method.

  2. Tap or select the  Wi-Fi icon.
  3. Select the  Wi-Fi Setup option followed by  Wi-Fi Setup Wizard. Now, the wireless networks available within your printer’s range will be displayed on the screen.

Cleaning print head from the Epson control panel:

  1. Power on your printer.
  2. Press the  Home button.
  3. Select  Setup > Maintenance > Print Head Cleaning > Proceed.
  4. Choose the desired print head cleaning option from the displayed options.
  5. Press the  Color button.
  6. Now, the print head cleaning process will be initiated.
  7. Once it is done, you’ll see a confirmation message on your printer’s screen.
  8. Press the  Color button to check if the print head cleaning process is done successfully.


Connecting Epson WF-7620 to a Windows computer over a USB cable connection:

  1. First of all, get a USB cable that is compatible with your printer.
  2. Make sure that the printer and your computer are not connected together. If connected, disconnect them.
  3. Now, open the  Epson WF-7620 printer driver file on your computer.
  4. When prompted, select the  USB Connection option and connect the printer to your computer using the  USB cable. 
  5. Complete the Epson printer driver installation by following the on-screen instructions.

Replacing print head

  1. First, raise the scanner cover of your printer.
  2. To perform this process, you need to make the cartridge carrier move first.
  3. By default, it is locked while the printer’s scanner cover is raised.
  4. So, you need to unlock it first. Before doing it, put a piece of foam in the point where the trigger is to be joined. This makes the printer to think that the scanner cover is closed. 
  5. Now, turn on your printer. As soon as you do it, you can see the ink cartridge carrier moving. 
  6. Disconnect the power cable from your printer. Now, the cartridge carrier is unlocked. 
  7. Remove the top cover of the cartridge carrier.
  8. Take all the ink cartridges out of their slots.
  9. Now, remove the screw present at the top of the carrier and then take the cartridge slot out of the print head.
  10. Carefully disconnect the cables connecting the print head.
  11. Once the print head has been removed, unpack a new one and place it correctly.
  12. Make sure to insert the cables securely into your printer’s print head.
  13. Fix the cartridge slot and place the cartridges back into their slots.
  14. Insert the screws and move the ink cartridge carrier to the right end.
  15. Now, take the piece of foam from the trigger point and lower the scanner cover.
  16. Replug the power cable into the printer.
  17. Turn on your printer.
  18. Try a test print to check the print quality after finishing the Epson WF 7620 setup.


  1. On your Windows computer, open the photo or document you want to print.
  2. Now, go to the  Print settings dialog box by directly clicking the  Print menu or selecting File > Print.
  3. In the  Printing Preferences dialog box, select your printer from the given drop-down menu. 
  4. Enable the  2-sided printing option by clicking the checkbox beside it. Similarly, set other print preferences as per your needs.
  5. Finally, click the  OK button. Now, the selected document will be printed by the printer.


The  11X17 paper can be any of the following types:

  1. Epson Presentation Paper Matte
  2. Epson Photo Glossy
  3. Epson Premium Photo Paper Glossy

Before you start the print operation, make sure to load the 11*17 paper properly into your printer’s paper tray. 

  1. Using the correct application, open the document to be printed.
  2. Click the  Print menu.
  3. In the  Printing Preferences dialog box, select your printer from the given drop-down menu.
  4. Make sure to select the correct paper type from the  Paper Type drop-down menu.
  5. Set other print preferences and click  OK.
  6. Now, your document will be printed by the printer.


Printing a document using the A3 paper on Epson WF-7620:

The  A3 paper can be of any one of these three paper types:

  1. Epson Premium Photo Paper Glossy
  2. Epson Premium Presentation Paper Matte
  3. Epson Ultra Premium Presentation Paper Matte
  1. First, load A3 in your printer’s paper tray.
  2. Next, open the document or photo you want to print on your computer.
  3. Open the  Printing Preferences dialog box.
  4. Click the  Main tab.
  5. Select the paper type from the drop-down menu that says  Paper Type.
  6. Set the print preferences as per your needs.
  7. Finally, click  OK. Now, the selected document will be printed by your printer.

  1. Before starting the scan operation, check if you have installed the necessary scanner driver on your computer. Ensure that the scan settings are configured correctly on your printer. 
  2.  For scan to computer: Connect your printer and the computer to the same network. 
  3.  For scan to cloud: First, register your printer & account to Epson Connect and then visit the user page to configure the scan settings. The  Scan to e-mail and the scan to network features are not supported by this printer.

Scan to computer:

  1. First, make sure that your computer and the  Epson WF-7620 printer are connected to the same network.
  2. Now, on your printer’s scanner glass, place the original document you want to scan.
  3. Press the  Home button followed by  Scan.
  4. Select the  Computer or Computer (WSD) option.
  5. Choose your computer from the available device list.
  6. Select the scan format and the other preferences as per your needs. 
  7. After setting up the scan preferences, press the  OK button.

Scanning multiple pages using the Epson Scan icon:

  4. Set the  Document Source, Size, Orientation, Image Type, and  Resolution of your desire.
  5. Before clicking the  Scan button, you can review the scan settings. To do it, click the  Scan button.

  8. Click the  Add page button to scan the next page of the document. Place the second page of the document and click  Scan.

Setting up the Epson WF-7620 printer for the fax operation:

  1. First, connect a phone cord into your Epson printer.
  2. If you wish to connect a telephone or answering machine to your printer, then remove the  EXT cap first, and connect it.
  3. Now, turn on your Epson printer.
  4. Press the  Home button on your printer’s control panel.
  5. Select the  Setup option followed by  System Administration.
  6. In the given field, enter your printer’s administrator password.
  7. Select  Common Settings and set the basic configurations as per your desire.
