SOFTWARE SETUP:

  1. Since the Dell printer comes with an installation CD, place the CD into the CD/DVD drive of the computer.
  2. When the installer window opens, select your language, and agree to the terms and conditions.

  • Press the switch/button on the left side of the printer to open the front door of the printer.
  • Unpack the toner cartridge from the sealed packaging.
  • Use the handle and lift it carefully.
  • Shake the toner for 5-10 seconds to redistribute the toner.
  • Place the toner cartridge gently according to the rollers present inside the printer.
  • Close the front door once the toner cartridge installation is complete.
  • Remove the power cord; connect it to the main power source and to the back of the printer.
  • Turn on the Dell 1710N printer. The hardware installation for the printer is complete.
